Laker fans didn’t have much to cheer about last season but they did have Ryan Kelly.
Kelly was selected by the Lakers with the 48th pick in the 2013 draft and missed much of the season with a foot injury, but was a solid contributor (9ppg & 4rpg) after the All-Star break and was 1 of 4 players that beat the Cavs in one of the strangest games of all-time.
He also had a couple of exceptional performances including a 24 point (4 3-pointers) 11 rebound game vs the Nuggets which was followed up by a 12 point 8 assist game. With games like this it was hard for Laker fans not to like him.
The Lakers organization also liked him enough to give him a $1 million qualifying offer this week, making him a restricted free agent.
