1987: Michael Jordan drops 50 on the Bucks during a 3 game streak of 50+ points

On this day in history (4.13.87), Michael Jordan followed up a 53-point masterpiece (19-27 fg) against the Pacers with a 50 point, 9 rebound, 4 assist, 4 steal, 3 block performance against the Bucks.

After the back-to-back 50 games, MJ needed another 50 to become the 2nd player in NBA history to score 3,000 points in a season. So MJ put up an insane 61 against Dominique Wilkins and the Hawks. But the scoring fun stopped there as he only scored 17 points in the following game against Larry Bird and the Celtics. The 17 didn’t hurt his season average of 37.1 points per game too much.
