Kobe Bryant filmed a cameo for the upcoming Ghostbusters remake?

According to the latest video from The Players Tribune, it seems the producers of the Paul Feig film with the most disliked trailer in YouTube history (850k dislikes to 246k likes) did call the recently retired basketball player to come out of acting retirement. Hopefully, it’s just part of a marketing campaign for the film.

Personally, i’m more shocked they got Bill Murray to make a cameo and Dan Aykroyd called the performances in the film “brilliant.” Well, I guess that’s why we shouldn’t judge a film by it’s trailer…but God does this movie look awful and i’m not just saying that because I’m a fan of the original (hated the sequel)…and even the cartoon.

Anyways, it will be interesting to see if Kobe’s acting has improved since his rookie season when he appeared in a bunch of teen shows like Moesha and the underrated (not really, i’m just saying that because I had a crush on the lead actress) Hang Time!  So as we wait for the remake/reboot/re whatever Hollywood wants to call it, let’s flashback to 20 years to 1996 for some Saturday morning fun.

Also worth mentioning is this 2011 Nike short film by director Robert Rodriguez and starring Kobe, Bruce Willis and Kanye West.
