When you think of the most surprising 50-point games ever, you will probably get names like Willie Burton, Corey Brewer and Tony Delk.
Delks’ magical night came on January 2nd of 2001, when he doubled his career-high of 26 and finished with 53 points in an OT loss to the Sacramento Kings. If doubling your career-high wasn’t shocking enough, Delk only averaged 12 points for that season and that was a career-high!
