The Lakers had a 21-point lead early in the third quarter and then Steve Nash and the Suns came alive and forced OT…then double OT…and then triple OT, to give us one of the most exciting games of the season.
After a combined 276 points, the Lakers eventually came out victorious.
“We’re the champs,” Said Bryant, who scored a season-high 42 points to go with 12 boards and 9 dimes. “We’ve got a lot of mental toughness, and we just keep on fighting. It’s not anything new.”
Steve Nash led the way for the Suns with 19 points and 20 assists. And Lamar Odom had the quote of the night after the game.
“I’m tired. I want to go home. I’m in the mood for pancakes.”
