2014 NBA Mock Draft (Who is tanking and why)

So people thought the 76ers were going to try to tank this season and now they are cheering on the great play of Evan Turner and future rookie of the year Michael Carter-Williams.  Many predicted the high flying Suns would tank and in their last game they snapped the red hot Blazers’ 11 game winning streak and are now playing above .500.

Yesterday, Yahoo released an article explaining “Why the (.500) Chicago Bulls Should Tank the 2014 Season” after losing Derrick Rose for another season.

In Milwaukee, pissed off fans set up a crowd funding project on IndieGoGo to raise $5k to put up the below billboard asking the Bucks to tank.  The campaign was a success as they reached their goal so the billboard will be going up in the next few weeks but considering the Bucks are on a 10 game losing streak, I’m not sure they need any additional motivation to avoid winning a 3rd game this season.  A 3rd win is also something that the Utah Jazz haven’t experienced and the New York Knicks are stuck on after losing 7 straight.

So what exactly should teams be tanking for?  There’s a guy named Andrew Wiggins you might have heard of.  Then there is Jabari Parker and Julius Randle – two guys that would make next year’s Thanksgiving a little better for a lot of teams.  There’s also a few other guys on the top of every NBA GM’s Christmas lists, so here’s two 2014 NBA Mock Draft lists created by Hoops Addict and The Big Lead with the big three players that will end up on teams that weren’t that nice this season.
