What started off as your ordinary trash talking moment with KG has turned into a mainstream soap opera and 1 big free advertisement for Honey Nut Cheerios cereal – I think General Mills owes KG some money for this.
Coach Doc Rivers also thinks KG is owed an apology.
“Well, No. 1, I know what’s been reported did not happen. I know that as a fact.”
“Guys, you know how this works,” Rivers said. “A guy does something crazy like Carmelo did, and the way to get out of trouble is to say, ‘Well, he said this.’ It happens all the time, and what bugs me about this whole thing is this is not a Kevin Garnett issue. And it was made into one, and it shouldn’t have been made into one.”
The latest episode of Grantland with notorious trash talker Jalen Rose, Bill Simmons and David Jacoby also talked about the Young and Restless Days of Melo’s Lives. Jalen explains why it’s ok to “step over the line” to win a game and the difference between trash talkers.
