A die-hard Spurs fan (and the NBA YouTube channel) will tell you 39-year old Manu “should win 6th Man of the Year” Ginobili broke Tim Quarterman with a crossover then nutmeged Noah Vonleh with a sweet assist to Pau Gasol, which led to a bucket by David Lee.
A Spurs hater will tell you Quarterman was knocked to the ground by a push from Ginobili and who cares what he did to Vonleh in the first quarter because this is what Vonleh did at the end of the game.
“I didn’t know the ball was going to bounce that way,” Vonleh said. “It just magically fell into my hands and we ended up winning the game.”
Besides the game-winner for the Lillard and McCollum-less Blazers, Vonleh also had 12 points on 6 for 9 shooting and 11 boards.
