I HATE when people say “Vince Carter turns back the clock” but I loved this comment, “Vince Carter turns back the clock more times than a clocksmith.”
On Wednesday, 39-year old Vince Carter “turned back the clock” when he threw down a vicious 2-hand dunk 22-year old rookie Dario Saric wanted nothing to do with. Unfortunately, Vince didn’t have much luck hitting anything outside of the paint and finished the game with just seven points on 3 of 11 shooting and 1 of 6 from 3-point land. But, the Grizzlies did pull out the victory in double OT and Vince did play 39 minutes; how many players have you ever seen at age 39 play 39 minutes and make you say, “I hope he doesn’t retire anytime soon?”
