John Wall was on a tear before his meltdown/ejection in the Warriors game 2 nights ago.  Last night, Wall was back on the court and I’m not sure how to summarize his game.  The first thing that popped in my head was the line Dennis Scott said when he had a meltdown at a kid’s camp in 1997 – “Ask me about the rage inside of me.”

There has to be a rage inside of Wall right now. While he was sitting out with a knee injury, many critics wrote him off and had nothing positive to say about the former #1 pick who deserved to be a #1 pick.  A #1 pick that can put up ridiculous lines like 47 points (13-22fg 19-24ft), 8 assists, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks!  That boxscore stuffer was the most impressive line by a Wizard since the gun slinging days of the Gilbert Arenas show.

Like Arenas, there seems to be as many people that hate him as love him but you can be hated and still be a success.  Dennis Scott told a little girl “if Barney can take his show on the road than so can I” and so can Wall. I expect the Wall show to continue for the rest of this season and for many upcoming seasons and hopefully post seasons in the near future.
