Last week I was asking the question, “Is the greatest dunker of all-time also one of the most underrated shooters?” I asked that question after the 40-year old Vince Carter joined Paul Pierce, Jason Terry, Reggie Miller and Ray Allen in the 2K Threes Club.
On Monday, after watching the 6’6 Grizzly block back-to-back shots and join the elite club of Karl Malone, Dikembe Mutombo, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Robert Parish as the only 40-year olds to ever block four shots in a single-game, I’m asking, “Is the greatest dunker and one of the most underrated shooters also one of the best shot blocking guards ever?”
Before we revisit some of the best blocks by the man (half-man, half-amazing that is) who once blocked 16 shots in a single high school game, let’s revisit what he’s done to two of his fellow members of the 4 at 40 Block Club.
