Summer is here which means 4th of July is around the corner as well. Summer is normally the time for bright colors, backyard boogies, outdoor shenanigans & pretty much anything that involves good vibes. Being from Southern California, with clear blue skies & rising temperatures, SoCal Natives will definitely be taking advantage of the outdoors by rocking some fresh kicks.
With Independence Day lurking around the corner it’s only right that we dish out some red/white/blue drops that’ll compliment your 4th of July boogie vibes.
Nike Sportswear Air Max ’95 “USA”
First up we have the iconic Air Max ’95. Decked out for an Independence day release the 95’s received an all red make over with hints of blue and a white sole. The gum bottoms is my personal favorite part of the shoe which gives these 95’s an instant classic look.
Adidas Adi Ease
At first the Adi Ease was strictly a skate shoe. Due to high demand, Adidas re-released the all white shoe in an all leather which comes just in time for summer. The Adi Ease will be a solid pick up for anytime of the year in my opinion, wear them with shorts, chinos, jeans, or even without socks. Just don’t wear them with bell bottoms, please, just don’t.

New Balance 997
New Balance has been in the sneaker game for quite some time now. Don’t sleep on this brand, you’re looking at quality, comfort, style AND originality. The 997 comes in this patriotic colorway donning a grey suede upper with hints of navy blue & red. These are definitely worth the pick up, even if you decide to rock them year round.
Air Jordan 1 “23LA”
Following the release of the Air Jordan 1 “NYC” it’s only right that the AJ1 gets a LA edition. Which it did. Perfect for summer, the Air Jordan 1 consists of an all white upper leather with slight hints of a light gum brown. On both heels the texts “23” & “LA” consume both sides of the shoes. The sole of the shoe is based on an iced out blue with Los Angeles scribed into the shoe. You’ll definitely command attention with these 1’s.
Adidas Campus 80’s “Japan Pack Vintage” Burgundy
Not feeling the all white kicks or the vibrant colored sneakers? Looking for a mellow shoe that’ll stay lowkey but still catch attention? The Adidas Campus Japan Pack in burgundy is just for you. I’ve always been a fan of these shoes with its low top silhouette and classic style. This classic is donning an suede burgundy upper accented by hints of white and an off white rubber outsole. Unfortunately these classics will only be available overseas. But hey, if you cop them then chances are you won’t see many people stateside rockin’ the same shoes as you.
