5’8 Kay Felder made a lot of noise back in May when he tied the NBA combine record with a 44″ max vertical and had Draymond Green raving about the high-flyer from Oakland on Twitter. Somebody in Cleveland was listening because they spent $2.4 million to buy the #54 pick of the NBA draft.

Then on July 8th, Felder made his NBA debut and impressed with 14 points, 5 assists and 3 steals.

In his 2nd game, he struggled from the field with 3 of 10 shooting but stood out on defense with 6 steals and a shocking 2 blocks.

On Monday, Felder rebounded offensively by hitting 7 of 13 shots in a 15 point performance during a 31 point beatdown on the Dunn-less Wolves. He also had 4 boards and 3 assists in 26 minutes.

Not only do I expect Felder to be on the defending champs roster once the season starts, I’m expecting him to get some run now that Delly is running in Milwaukee. And unlike Delly, I’m expecting people to get excited every time Felder steps on a NBA court and shows he belongs on it.
