For decades people thought they would never see another NBA player under 5’10” that could pull off dunk contest worthy dunks like 5’7″ Spud Webb. Then came 5’9″ Nate Robinson and his superior dunk contest winning dunks. Since Nate’s arrival we have seen a couple “YouTube dunkers” shorter than Nate defy gravity. The most mind boggling of these dunkers is 5’5″ Porter Maberry who is most famous for making LeBron jump out of a barber’s chair.
If it wasn’t sad enough for 6 footers like me that can’t dunk, we now have to see people like 5’8″ Dallas Cowboy Cole Beasley who is also white with enough hops to throw down a reverse windmill. Congrats to Cole for breaking more stereotypes with his vertical and a “Please Stop” to the phone camera guy recording vertically!
