Yesterday we posted a video of “The strongest dunker in the world” pulling off a 360 dunk at 290 pounds with a Vince Carter jersey on. Today the 6’1 38 year old freak of nature pulled out a Hornet’s Baron Davis jersey and showed that he can dunk off vert! I’m not even sure if any NBA player 6’1 and under can pull this off and those guys probably weigh a 100 pounds less.
Speaking of guys who could fly despite having a few extra pounds on them, I was always shocked that Baron could jump the way he did. I know he won the 2007 McDonalds High School Dunk contest but he also tore his ACL in college. Within a year after surgery, he was back to windmill dunking and posterizing defenders and became one of the nastiest poster makers in the NBA during his time with the Hornets: just ask Kevin Garnett, Tim Hardaway and Jermaine O’Neal. He also had a pretty vicious dunk on the very underrated Eddie Griffin (R.I.P) who passed away in 2007.
