Tim Duncan who? With Duncan in street clothes and LaMarcus Aldridge struggling, the Spurs’ 7’3 big man with the big hands, Boban Marjanovic, stepped up big and put up 17 points in just 15 minutes in the Spurs win over the Wolves.
“I feel happy because I am part of this win,” Marjanovic said. “In the first half we played like, so-so, and in the second half much better and we showed we are a team. We showed in bad times that we can be a good team.”
Boban was a perfect 7 of 7 from the floor and 3 of 4 from the line. He was also just 1 point away from tying his career-high of 18 which came against Jahlil Okafor and the 76ers earlier in the month.
