7 seasons, 499 games and almost 13,000 minutes. That’s how long it took for DeAndre Jordan, the league leader in field goal percentage and possible defensive player of the year, to make his first career 3-pointer. The shot came early in the first quarter against the Mavs during a 8-0 run to start the game. Unfortunaelty for the Clippers, that lead and luck didn’t last long as the Mavs took over the 2nd quarter and never looked back in a 30 point victory over LA.
DJ, once again, was a dominate force with 16 points (7-9 fg) and 18 rebounds but still couildn’t hit a free throw (1-5).
If you were wondering how many 3-pointers Shaq made in his career, it’s officially 1, which came during his 4th season, but he made 2 in pre-season – both during his Magic days.
If you read the comments in the following video, most people are saying it wasn’t Shaq because they aren’t aware that the shot was made during a pre-season game. The 3-pointer he made against the Clippers is not on YouTube. I have it on VHS but i’m not digging for it.
