If you are around 30 years old or older, then this 1999 NBA commercial with Allen Iverson and Larry Hughes, titled “I Still Love This Game,” probably brings back some great memories. Besides this one, the NBA also released a few other ISLTG ads – with Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett and Allan Houston – that might also remind you of why you fell in the love of the game.

This past Friday, Allen Iverson and his former 76ers teammate and co-star of the above commercial, reunited at Iverson’s Summer Classic game and shared a pre-game moment that took me back to 1999.

The alley-oop dunk also took me back to Hughe’s not-so-memorable performance in the 2000 NBA dunk contest but it just feels good to see the former 8th pick (yes he was drafted right before Dirk and Paul Pierce) of the 76ers still dunking 4 years after his NBA career and 16 years after the NBA dunk contest and those Vert Jump program ads in the back of every damn issue of Slam Magazine.
