Allen Iverson appeared on CBS This Morning to promote the Showtime premiere of his documentary IVERSON. During the interview he talked about being misunderstood, judged by the “idiot box,” the importance of George Thompson, Michael Jordan and “the myth and rumor” about his finances.
Is it a rumor? Well, if you consider getting a million a year from an account with $32 million in it “struggling” then it’s not a rumor. And in 6 years his NBA pension will kick in and he will get about $8,000 a month. Yeah, he’s really hurting financially.
Back to the interview, the best moment came when Charlie Rose asked him “On a sports level, do you know anybody who had more skills than you did, at your best?” and Iverson replied “No.”
