Having Dwight Howard wasn’t enough. On Monday night, the only answer the Houston Rockets had for the Pistons and Andre Drummond was to send Dre to the free throw line – 14 times (12 times within 2 minutes) in the 3rd quarter! Since Dre only hit 3 of those 12, Van Gundy had to pull him out. The Rockets then went on a run to erase most of the 28 point 1st half deficit but in the end still took the L.
And despite only playing 27 minutes, Drummond still had 24 points, 13 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 steals. Dwight played 4 more minutes but finished with just 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks.
