Andre Roberson had a total of 4 points in 113 minutes during the first 5 games of the Thunder and Spur series. On Thursday, the X-factor exploded for 14 points on 5 of 8 shooting with a career-high 3 3-pointers, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal and a bunch of a players that can’t be seen by looking at a boxscore. Plays like the one in the 3rd when he dove on the ground and out hustled the rarely out-hustled Kawhi Leonard for a loose ball and then scored, when OKC already had a 25 point lead.

When asked about Roberson’s best shooting night since his college days (Roberson was 1 of 14 from 3 in the playoffs before GM6), Tony Parker interrupted and said, “That’s what I mean by ‘basketball gods.’ Sometimes it’s not meant to be.”

Roberson had a better explanation.

“We believed in ourselves and came through with our heart all the way to the end.”
