19 year old #pick Andrew Wiggins scored 23 points and celebrated his first NBA double-double with a surprising win over the Portland Trailblazers.

“I feel comfortable and I know my team is always going to be there,” Wiggins said. “We made plays together. It wasn’t just me. Without them executing the plays, helping me get open, I wouldn’t have found my shots.”

Wiggins made 9 of his 16 shots but missed both of his 3-point attempts and was just 5 of 10 from the free throw line but made the clutch shots in the 4th when they needed it.

“The baby Wolves grew up a little bit,” Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders said.

FYI. Kevin Garnett never had a 20/10 game during his rookie season with the Wolves. He did come close a few times: 19/8, 17/12, 18/13, 20/8, 21/8 & 33/8.
