For Timberwolves fans who were excited to see what the Minny Rookies were going to do in the regular season, last night’s loss to the Grizzlies was disappointing on so many levels. #1 pick Andrew Wiggins only played 19 minutes and made 2 field goals for 6 points. His first shot of his NBA career was a 3-pointer too and not an above the rim dunk.
Future dunk contest winner Zach LaVine was a DNP as well as Glenn Robinson III. Former #1 player Anthony Bennett had 9 points on 4 of 8 shooting in 14 minutes which doesn’t look that great but is better than 90% of his games from his rookie season.
Let’s hope we get to see more from Wiggins and something from LaVine in the TWolves next game.
Andrew Wiggins: 6 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 blocks, 2 steals (2-5 fg, 1-1 3pt, 1-2 ft) 19 minutes
As for Bucks fans who were excited to see what Jabari Parker would do in the regular season, they didn’t get to see much more production of their lottery pick who scored 8 points on 3 of 9 shooting but they did get to see one hell of a game and performance by Kemba Walker.
Jabari Parker: 8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 blocks, 1 steal (3-8 fg, 0 3pt, 2-2 ft) 37 minutes
