The play of the game happened with 2 minutes left in the 4th. Down by 2, Kevin Martin got a steal and had his dunk swatted away by a Jerami Grant from behind, a trailing Wiggins picked up the loose ball and then partially leaped over Nerlens Noel for the and-1 throwdown. The dunk would be 2 of the 11 points Wiggins scored in the final 5 minutes of the game.
He finished with a game-high 32 and helped hand the 76ers their 15th straight loss to start the season.
The performance by Wiggins, who is averaging 26 points a game over his last 10, had his coaches and teammates singing some high praise.
“He’s turning into an unbelievable player right before our eyes every night,” interim coach Sam Mitchell said.
“He can become MVP one day in this league,” said Ricky Rubio.
