I’m not taking anything away from Giannis, Porzingis or any other young unicorn with an “is” at the end of a name but let’s not forget Anthony Davis. You know, the former #1 pick who is only 24-years old and already has four All-Star appearances (MVP in 2017 but we all want to forget that game happened) and two All-NBA first team honors on his resume; The 6’10 kid from the south side of Chicago who has led the league in blocks twice and made All-Defense second team just as many times.
On Sunday, The Brow dominated the Chicago Bulls with 37 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and a block in a 13-point win. The two stats in the boxscore that stood out the most was he went 22-of-23 from the free throw line and made 1-of-1 from three. The single attempt from three was a nice stat to see after watching him go 1-for-5 in Tuesday’s loss to the Bulls.
Boogie Cousins also stuffed the stat sheet by flirting with a triple-double: 22 points, 9 boards, 9 assists. He made 2 of his 6 attempts from three and is now 4-for-12 in 3 preseason games.
