The Pelicans still pulled off a win against the Suns despite missing Anthony Davis for half the game after the Brow took an inadvertent elbow to the throat from Earl Barron in the 2nd quarter.

“I was concerned when he didn’t come back,” Pelicans coach Monty Williams said after the game. “The play happened so fast. I saw him walk off the floor and I didn’t know if he got hit there or right in the Adam’s apple.”

Davis returned in the 4th and had 6 points and 5 rebounds in the final 11 minutes.
