“As far as MVP, I’m not even worried about that,” Davis said after scoring 38 points in a win over the Thunder. “It’s too early in the season to get involved in that conversation. Personally, I think so. But even to hear my name talked about that, it’s a blessing, it’s an honor. I’ve been putting in a lot of work all season. I wanted to come out this season and be aggressive. I think Team USA helped me to do that coming into this season.”

The MVP candidate might not be worried about winning the MVP award but he has the rest of the league worried when he’s putting up numbers like MVP KD who sat out on Sunday.  Davis scored his 38 points on a ridiculous 16 of 22 shooting and also grabbed 15 boards and blocked 3 shots in 37 minutes of action against OKC.

Serge Ibaka only had 6 points on 2 of 8 shooting, 8 rebounds and 0 blocks in 38 minutes for OKC.
