What’s more beautiful in the NBA than Ray Allen’s jumpshot and don’t say the Victoria Secret model that’s with (correction – was with) Marko Jaric? In my opinion, nothing. So I thought it would be cool to do a tribute to the prettiest thing in basketball by stating some cool research data about Ray Allen and 3 point shooting, then showing a few videos of the moving masterpiece in action.
Enjoy and go practice some jumpers afterwards.
- The ideal angle for a 3 pointer is 48 degrees
- It takes .73 seconds for Ray to get a shot off
- Ray’s apex when he releases a shot is almost 9 ft off the ground
- Ray’s backspin includes 2 rotations per second
54pts (8 3 pointers) against the Jazz
8 3-pointers against the Knicks
Ray Allen becomes the 3 point king
