I’m pretty sure there’s a video editor for every NBA team working on a Kobe Bryant tribute video right now. The 76ers made one, the Wizards made one, and on Friday night before the start of the 2nd quarter, we got to see the Atlanta Hawks one which featured an appearance by the greatest Hawk of all-time Dominque Wilkins.

“I’ll see you in the Hall” said Nique in the video.

Bryant didn’t watch the tribute but acknowledged the crowd with a wave.

Bryant also didn’t do so well against the Hawks: 14 points on 4 of 19 shooting and 2 of 10 from 3.  The 5 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks were nice but wasn’t nowhere near enough to help the Lakers get the W.

“It’s fun to get out there and play,” Bryant said. “Even though my body is sore, this moment is not coming again. Pulling up to the arena, getting ready for the game. It’s not going to happen again. Walking down the tunnel and so forth. It’s important to enjoy these moments as much as possible.”

Next stop is Detroit, one of two teams that won a championship against Kobe and the Lakers.
