How exciting is Donovan Mitchell? He had 24 points, 6 assists, 5 threes and two dunk of the night nominees during Utah’s 126-107 beatdown on the cursed Clippers.
After the game, Austin Rivers, who scored a team-high 25 points and had a not-so-friendly verbal exchange with a fan, had some high praise for the high-flying rookie.

“That little motherfucker is good. That dude’s a rookie. He’s crazy. He’s the best rookie in the NBA.
If you don’t count Ben Simmons — if you’re not counting Ben Simmons — excluding Ben Simmons, he’s the best rookie in the NBA. Him and [Jayson] Tatum.
Donovan Mitchell is the best rookie in the NBA, bottom line. That motherfucker is out there leading a team as a rookie. You know what I mean? He’s got way more on his shoulders than a lot of other guys, excluding Ben Simmons. Him and Tatum are impressive.”
I couldn’t agree more. I would also like to remind Denver Nuggets fans that Mitchell was their 13th pick. And the Nuggets sent him to Utah for the 24th pick (Tyler Lydon) and Trey Lyles.
For fans of Austin Rivers (don’t laugh, I’m one of them), here’s Austin putting up 25 points, 6 assists and 1 “Shut the fuck up” on Thursday night.
