Austin Rivers scored a career-high 28 points in just 26 minutes against the Kings on Saturday night. It’s the type of performance I was expecting much earlier in the season after watching him tear up competition at the Orlando Pro-Am this past summer.  Against Sacramento, he connected on 5 of 9 from downtown and was part of the best play of the night when he threw down a dunk after receiving a behind the back pass from Jamal Crawford.

Austin also received his first video bomb after the game courtesy of JJ Redick who had 24 and Blake Griffin.
