Russell Westbrook Destroys 76ers With Monster Triple Double (21/17/11)
“I learned over the summertime that whenever I rebound and start the break, it’s better for our team,” said Westbrook after the easy win over the 76ers on Friday night. “It gives opposing teams problems when I’m able to do that, and pushing the break gives us easy points.”
Getting rebounds (17!) and giving the opposing team problems is exactly what he did to the Philly team. Westbrook racked up his second consecutive triple double with an insane 21 points, 17 rebounds – as many as Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor combined – 11 assists and 3 steals in just 35 minutes.
Westbrook is averaging 8.6 boards for the season and this is the 3rd time in the past 8 games he’s reached double figure in rebounds.

The 6’3 point guard once led his team in rebounds and has two 20 rebound games including a 20pt/20reb/12ast/6stl performance.
