If you thought Russian judges were tough, try having your dunks judged by the NBA Slam Dunk Champion and a player that used to throw alley-oops to Vince Carter during the Vinsanity era. Terrence Ross and Mo Peterson were the Russian judges at the BET Experience Dunk Contest held yesterday at the Staples Center to celebrate the 2013 BET Awards.
The Finals came down between 4 time Sprite Showdown winner Werm and Charlotte Showdown winner Chris Staples. The almost unbeatable Werm, who created the cradle dunk that Ross’ teammate DeMar DeRozan did at the NBA dunk contest, came out victorious. It didn’t help Chris that Mo Pete gave him a 9 (!) on a reverse 360 between the legs dunk.
Werm and Staples were also a part of an amazing dunk exhibition held on Friday at the BET event. You can check out all the sick pics and video footage here.
