On Thursday afternoon, Russell Westbrook lit the internet on fire when he said, “Who is he?” to a reporter asking him his thoughts on Steph Curry saying he would pick James Harden over him for MVP.
Later that night, Westbrook made another case for MVP as he put up his 34th triple-double (24/10/16) of the season in just 28 minutes in a 21-point beatdown on the Raptors. He also had the play of the game with this nutmeg pass on Cory Joseph.
Later, later that night, Steph Curry had a decent night with 25 points and 9 assists, including a nutmeg pass of his own. The assist wasn’t nowhere near as impressive as the pass of the year nominee by Westbrook but “who is he?” The answer: nobody really, just a 2x MVP with a championship ring playing with a team that has a better chance of winning another ring than the top two MVP candidates.
