Coming off of back-t0-back monster triple doubles, Blake Griffin continued to play like the best player in the playoffs during the first half in GM2 against the Rockets; Griffin scored 26 of his 34 points in the first 2 quarters as the Clippers took a 65 – 51 lead at half-time.
But the big story in the 2nd half was the play of MVP runner-up James Harden who went off for 16 of his 32 in the 4th quarter and helped lead his team to a comeback win.
“It definitely feels like we let one get away,” Griffin said. “We came here to win two. But we’ve got to protect home court now. We can’t hang our heads.”
