The Clippers are off to a 3-0 start after Blake Griffin put up 37 points, 9 rebounds and assists in a 114-109 victory over the Kings.
“To get off to a good start and beat a good team like that is important for us,” Griffin said. “If we would have won one more game last year, it would have put us in second place in the conference and we would have had homecourt advantage through the first two rounds of the playoffs. You think about those things.”
I know it’s early but you can’t help but think that Blake Griffin is going to be a MVP candidate after the way he played in last year’s playoffs and the way he’s starting this season.
For the Kings, DeMarcus Cousins was just 6 of 14 and finished with 13 points and 9 rebounds.
