JR Smith didn’t play 1 minute in the Knicks loss to the Bobcats last night and that didn’t sit well with Bobcat fans that saw Smith sitting at the end of the Knicks bench. Twice during the 2nd half, fans started to chant “JR Smith” for the shoe lace bandit but Coach Woodson wasn’t hearing it during the game and didn’t want to talk about it afterwards.
“I’m not even commenting on J.R.,” Woodson said. “I just didn’t play him tonight. I didn’t play him.”
When Smith was asked about his benching he replied.
“Honestly, I don’t know,” Smith said. “Take it every day, day by day and figure out what I can do to help the team. If I’m not helping the team, there’s no point in me being here.”
