If Popovich wasn’t pissed enough that his team was down by 14 to the Clippers at a half-time, he ended up getting hit in the back of the head by a half-court buzzer beater attempt by one of his players. The craziest part of this clip is Pop didn’t even seem to care about getting hit by Diaw’s shot.
I have a feeling the rest of the players felt the wraith of Pop when he got to the lockerroom. Unfortuantely for the Spurs, things didn’t get any better and they ended up losing by 20 so I’m sure they got another earful after the game.
“They played harder than we did,” San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said. “They played smarter. They executed what they wanted to do at both ends of the court better. It was a butt-kicking. I don’t know how else you all want me to describe it.”
You know we can’t talk about people getting hit by half-court shots without showing this classic.
