With Luol Deng taking the night off with a sprained wrist, rookie Brandon Ingram got the start against the Nuggets on Tuesday night and didn’t disappoint: The #2 pick bounced back from a 1 for 7 night with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 threes. What was disappointing was watching the Lakers get outscored 40-26 in the first quarter and drop their fifth game in a row; at least they scored over 100 for the first time in five games and looked cool doing it in their throwback uniforms.
After the game, Ingram said losing like this “leaves a sick feeling” especially since they started the season playing so well.
