During the Suns and Knicks game on Tuesday night, we almost had a fight between Baby Face Amare and the Latvian Gangster and his muscle, Doo Be Doo from Bompton. Toss in Melo, Noah and Tyson Chandler in the mix and this could have been an epic sequel to the infamous 1993 Suns and Knicks brawl that made the NBA rewrite all the rules on fighting. But this is 2016, all we ended up with is some pushing and amusing stares, especially from Brandon Jennings, who looked like he was planning a drive-by on Suns’ rookie Marquese Chriss for throwing Kristaps Porzingis to the ground and then standing over him as if his name wasn’t Godzingis.
Chriss also showed why some Suns’ fans call him Amare 2.0 with a pair of vicious putback dunks and one nasty rejection in OT on his way to 14 points and a career-high 12 boards in 31 minutes of (very entertaining) action. The Suns also pulled out the win in OT.
