This game wont be remembered as much as Kyrie Irving’s ankle breaker on Brandon Knight during the 2013 Rising Stars game but Knight did get a little payback with a W against Irving and the Cavs on Wednesday.
“We prepared for their main guys, but honestly, it made us a little more focused when we found out they weren’t going to have LeBron,” Knight said. “We knew their other guys who come out and play extra hard. No matter who is on the court, our principles never change. Guys are always ready to play.”
Irving did play and scored a team-high 25 points on 9 of 23 shooting while Knight connected on 11 of his 19 shots and finished with 26 points.
