It’s all fun and games until somebody gets hurt.  For less than 24 hours, videos, tweets, status updates and memes were dominated by the news of Brandon Knight’s death by DeAndre Jordan dunk.  The joke got so out of hand that even Wikipedia pronounced him dead and news stations were reporting about the rumor of a basketball player dying on the court.

Just a couple of minutes into last night’s Pistons/Jazz game, Brandon Knight suffered a severe ankle injury (do not insert Kyrie Irving joke here because Kyrie might miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury of his own) that will probably keep him out of games (and posters – sorry couldn’t resist) for the next couple of weeks.

Get well Brandon and we are glad you are still alive.
