Being from Houston, when I hear the word “trill” I automatically think of the rapper Bun-B and his legendary group UGK with the late great Pimp C. So when I heard that future NBA player Willie Cauley-Stein was legally changing his name to Willie Trill Cauley-Stein, I automatically thought “what will Bun-B have to say about this?” Well, this is what the Port Arthur rapper/H-Town professor had to say.
WHO changed his middle name to WHAT?? WOW.

I’ve seen tees, hats, license plates, even tattoos..but legally changing your name? That’s a new one on me. No hate though. — Bun B (@BunBTrillOG) May 5, 2015
Former NBA player and Steve Francis choker Stephen Jackson also took to social media to say what was on his mind.
Bak on my BS. If this true I hope he talked to @trillog about this. He ain’t from PA I know. Somebody talk to me. I know west side PA ain’t felling that. We don’t have much. Pimp C RIP @jonathanbabineaux @djcharles25 @trillog and some young stars on the way. @team_kammartin @liltman7 @_adoremia @starrianna but we take pride in the word TRILL. Just saying #godspeed #humblehustler PA.
I’m pretty sure Willie doesn’t care what any rapper, baller, blogger or fan has to say about his name and he shouldn’t, but I’m assuming his mom and grandparents have to be shaking their head a little. Then again, for all I know his mom is big fan of International Players Anthem too.
RIP PIMP C
