Do you hear that?  No not the sound of Carmelo telling a fan to “go fuck yourself” at the end of  the Knicks’ 5th straight loss last night,  but the sound of the ticking clock that represents the final days of Melo in New York.

According to the New York Post,

In the final minutes of another disastrous Knicks loss, a boisterous fan shouted at Carmelo Anthony “Nice defense, Melo.” According to an eyewitness, Anthony shot back “Go f— yourself,” drawing a reaction from other fans in the area. After the game, a fan on Twitter wrote “Carmelo told me to F off. Huge Philly fan and I got in his head.”

I think the Philly fan is giving himself too much credit and it was Evan Turner, who scored a career high 34 points, that got into Melo’s head.  Anthony did score a team high 28 points and dished out 7 assists but it wasn’t enough for the struggling Knicks.

“It’s not something I’ve dealt with before, and I’m going through this experience and I’m learning from it. As a team, we got to stick together and not let anything come between us.’’

I’m hoping Melo and Dolan decide they should stick together and Anthony remains with the most valuable franchise in the NBA but in the meantime I suggest “donut faced” hecklers should avoid Melo.
