To celebrate 80’s Throwback Night at Quicken Loans Arena, the Cavs “Rick Roll’d” the Cleveland crowd by showing a parody video of Rick “Yes he’s a white guy” Astley’s 1987 hit song “Never Gonna Give You Up.”
If you aren’t old enough to remember the “Rickrolling” phenomenon of 2008, people would upload popular videos on YouTube and a few seconds into the video, it would switch to the music video by Astley. Here’s the original video that started it all.
As for the game, the Cavs, wearing the retro Cavs jerseys that brought back great memories of Ron Harper and Larry Nance making posters, beat the Heat by 30.
