1.26.12:  The Magic had their chance to get revenge on the Celtics for kicking their butts by 31 points earlier this week. The C’s were missing Ray Allen, JOneal and Rondo. Shaq was talking more trash about Superman lite, who also received a plaque by Magic owner Rich Devos and former player Nick Anderson for becoming the franchise’s leading scorer.  If you are a gambler you knew Vegas was saying the Magic were going to win by 10+ and 10+ sounded very reasonable especially after watching a few minutes of the game.

For the first half, it looked like destiny was happening as the Magic came out strong and were up 32 – 16 at the end of the first quarter.  The Magic then built a 27 point lead before having a Dallas Maverick like meltdown.   The Celtics, who have also won 3 straight games against the Magic, then went on a tear to not only comeback but to eventually beat the Magic by eight points.

Paul Pierce had a Bird like 24pts, 10ast & 6rebs and Kevin Garnett, starting at Center against Howard, had 12pts, 10rebs, 4ast, 4blks, 3stls.  For the Magic, Dwight led the team with 16pts and 16rebs

If the game wasn’t enough to be called a classic we got a classic post game interview from KG about “bar fights.”  Thankfully KG wasn’t being literal and talking about real fights because we know he only picks on guards and will run when a big guy like Antonio McDyess gets angry.
