Here’s St. John’s Chris Obekpa showing Syracuse’s Michael Gbinjije why he’s one of the best shot blockers in the country with a nasty 2 hand block.
During the game he also showed Gbinjije, the crowd and the country his legs. A lot of his legs.
“I didn’t know what he was doing,” his teammate Phil Greene IV said about Obekpa and his short-shorts. “I asked him, ‘What are you doing?’ He said it’s comfortable. As long as it works.”
Obekpa finished the game with 5 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks in the St John’s victory so yeah…whatever works.
“Chris Obekpa is going to be Chris Obekpa from today until he’s done playing,” said teammate D’Angelo Harrison. “His shorts help him.”
FYI, this is how his teammates’ shorts look.
And this is Obekpa.
