Between this flagrant foul call on Clint Capela and Matt Barnes getting ejected for his flagrant foul 2 (which wasn’t as bad as this flagrant foul) on Sunday, you can just hear the old school NBA cats screaming, “The league is soft! Blame LeBron James!”
As for this defensive play, it didn’t have much of an effect on the game. Plumlee missed one of the two free throws, the Blazers were down by 13 with a little more than two minutes in regulation and they had no answer for the Rockets offense; Rockets ended up scoring a season-high 130 points behind 38 from James Harden, 26 from Eric Gordon and 21 from Capela.
