Damian Lillard Drops 20 4th Quarter Points, Then Leaves For The Birth Of Baby Dame

How many times have you seen a movie that has a final act involving a Dad going through obstacles before arriving just in time for a daughter's play (Jersey Girl, Logan Lucky & Fist Fight to name a few) or the birth of a child (Due Date)?

Damian Lillard's obstacle was Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans and his goal was to get back to Portland for the birth of his first child. Dame took care of the obstacle by dropping 20 of his game-high 41 in the fourth quarter of the Blazers victory. When he got back to the locker room, he had a text from his girlfriend telling him to get his ass home because she was going into labor.

Dame took off on the first flight he could and hopefully arrives in time to witness the birth of his son, Baby Dame! Considering Dame is known for showing up in the clutch, I'm expecting him to make it to the delivery room in time, then tap his watch and drop four bars in celebration.

He will miss Wednesday's game against the tanking Grizzlies but the Blazers should still be able to get the win without Dame...and CJ if he wants to rest...and Nurkic too.

DROPPING DIMES

I wonder if Dame will put his son in that fancy gold baby stroller from the State Farm commercials.
