He got pushed! That’s what I’m going to hear from a bunch of Curry fans and they are right. But that doesn’t change the fact that it was a nice move and shot by Damian Lillard, who finished with a season-high 40 points and 10 assists in his 3rd game back.
“I mean, I’m a confident basketball player and coming off the injury, I knew I would get it going eventually,” he said.
The 40 point performance was the 4th of Lillard’s career and this was the first 40 point/10 assist game by a Blazer since Clyde Drexler.
Unfortunately the big numbers came in a big (20 point) loss. Thompson had 36 and Curry had 26 and 9 for the Warriors.
